Rescue Training
Many divers, particularly those who are brand new to the sport of scuba diving, don't envision themselves completing a scuba rescue course. I've heard various reasons and rationalizations over the years,but the bottom line is this: Every diver really can and should get trained in dive rescue the sooner the better.

scuba diving locations
There are a few good diving locations in Indiana and Illinois. The best location in Indiana is Lake Michigan. There you will find shipwrecks, and an underwater petrified forest about 8 to 10 miles off shore from East Chicago Indiana Harbor. For maps to various shipwrecks around Lake Michigan you can go to www.lakemichiganshipwecks.com . Also in Illinois you will find a little spot tucked away in Kankakee,Illinois called Haigh Quarry.They call it the Caribbean of the midwest. www.haighquarry.com .
Scuba Diving
If someone is interested in scuba diving ,there are many ways to get started. First is locate a dive shop in your area that offers classes on open water certifications and start there. Second, sign up and take the course. Third, receive your certification and begin a new life underwater and enjoy the peace and beauty of the water.
